Pages 10 and 11

Pages 10 and 11 are shape pages. The first page says "Match the Shapes" and has a pocket to put the shapes in.

The second page is the shapes. I sewed Velcro on both sides and used felt and fabric to give the matching pieces more weight. I also wrote the name of the shapes below.

More pages soon

Working on two new pages! I think after these I'm going to start the process of putting it together and then adding new pages as I can finish them. I'm excited to get back to the sewing machine!

Pages 8&9

Pages 8 & 9 are numbers. I made the numbers out of felt, again using cookie cutters (they make great stencils). I then strung beads onto yarn according to the number and sewed those next to the numbers. These pages will help teach counting and maybe one day addition and subtraction. The beads are able to slide on the yarn.

pages 6 & 7

Pages 6 & 7 are transportation pages. Page 6 is a stop light with buttons. The red, yellow and green "lights" are made of felt and button on and off.

Page 7 is "Things that go". I made a train, car, truck, dump truck and airplane using cookie cutters as the outlines. I then sewed snaps on them. I divided the page into 6 squares using my sewing machine. The things that go snap on and off so they can be matched to their name. I also made a little pocket to put them in.

Pages 3 &4

I have to say I'm exhausted and my back hurts, but I got pages 3 and 4 done over the last 2 days. These are the alphabet pages. Each page has letters of the alphabet and on the second page there is a pocket to put them in. Each letter snaps onto the page so one day Josh can spell words.

Page one letters.

Page two has the last 10 letters of the alphabet and a pocket to put them in. On the pocket I sewed, "next time won't you sing with me?" and I'm really pleased with the way it came out.
